9flats: perfect for family holidays
Family holidays. Many shiver at the very words. First there’s the time spent planning it. Then there’ll be the heated discussion on where to go. When at last a democratic decision is made (by mum), there’s the not so small topic of budget… Which is why we wanted to make life a little easier for you.
With our new child discount, hosts can offer you money off your accommodation when you’re travelling with children up to 16 years old. So you can worry a little less about budget and head off on holiday with a few more pounds/euro/yen in your pocket.
Guests: how to get a child discount…
Very simple:
- Go to the search page and fill in dates and where you want to go
- Enter the number of adults and children (0-16 yrs)
- Click Search
- You’ll see green Child discount labels on the search results page
- Click the Details button for those places and you’ll see how much discount the host offers in the pricing box

Hosts: how to offer a child discount…
Your discount is already set to 50% of the extra guest charge. But if you want to change it:
- Go to your pricing page
- Expand the section: Offer discounts for families and longer stays
- Enter the percentage discount you’d like to offer
- Click the Save button
- And remember: this discount only applies to children travelling as an ‘extra guest’ so if you have no surcharge, the child discount won’t be applied
