The Berlin Kunstsalon Number 08
The Kunstsalon (meaning Art Salon), is running in Berlin for the 8th time.
Berlin along with New York and London is one of the art capitals of the world and is packed full of established and aspiring artists. The Kunstsalon gathers a selection of these artists together in one huge exhibition.
Kunstsalon was established as a contrast to the more traditional Art Forum, which usually takes place in Berlin around the same time, but is not going ahead for 2011 as planned – this can only be a good thing for the Kunstsalon, as no doubt it will drive more visitors to to their art fair, giving exposure to the young, contemporary art on exhibition there.
Having attended this art fair personally, if you are Berlin during the time it runs, I can heartily recommend that you pay it a visit. Keep a day in your diary free from September 07 to 11th and plan to spend the day there – to see most or all of the show will take quite some time, but is well worth it.
Kunstsalon 08 takes place in Uferhallen, Uferstr. 8, 13357 Berlin from 7th to the 11th of September, 2pm to 10pm Wednesday to Saturday, and 12pm to 8pm on Sunday. Admission costs €5.00
