As mentioned below, for now this is an initiative for our German hosts, but for everyone else, it’s worth having a read about, as it will roll out in other countries within the next few weeks.

A short overview of the protection option

As always, the team here at 9flats.com are constantly working hard on improvements. Something we have been working on now for a long time is a form of protection for hosts. Starting in Germany, and rolling out into other regions at a later date, we will now be the world’s first travel website to offer protection for those renting out their properties through our website.

For the days that their accommodation is rented, German hosts now have the possibility to pay a daily rate of €3.50 which will cover properties against damages up to €2,500 – it doesn’t matter how many guests you have, the fee covers all guests staying in the property – the excess to be paid in the event of any damages is €100.

The good news is that a similar initiatve will be rolled out in other European countries over the next several weeks. Guests also benefit from this protection option, without paying any extra for their stay in terms of costs and fees.

As the founder of 9flats, Stephan Uhrenbacher said “For those who list their apartment for rent on 9flats now have the assurance that the property is also protected. No one else offers this.”

If you simply go to the main 9flats.com page you will see a link to the new home cover page, or if you prefer, you can access it directly from here.
